In application of royal directives calling for special attention to the teaching family; and as part of its action plan for the decade 2018-2028 aimed, among other things, at diversifying the offer of tourist and leisure accommodation for the benefit of Education-Training staff and their families, the Mohammed Foundation VI of Promotion of Social Works of Education-Training inaugurated, on Saturday July 17, 2021, a new tourist complex “Zephyr Agadir” and a sports club “Narjiss Agadir”.
The ceremony took place in the presence of the Minister of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education and Scientific Research, Saïd Amzazi, the Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, Air Transport and of the Social Economy, Nadia Fettah Alaoui, the Minister Delegate in charge of Higher Education, Driss Ouaouicha, the President of the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Promotion of Social Works in Education-Training, Youssef El Bakkali and the Wali of Souss-Massa region, Ahmed Hajji.
Zephyr and Narjisse Agadir cover a vast area of over 27,000 square meters and enjoy an ideal location in the heart of the “Haut Founty” tourist area; near the city center, the corniche and the Marina of Agadir.
Zephyr Agadir has a capacity of 239 beds and is added to the “Zephyr Targa” complexes in Marrakech, “Zephyr Mazagan” in El Jadida, and “Zephyr Ifrane”.
The new tourist complex houses 141 spacious aparthotels with a modern and refined style divided into various types: 20 aparthotels consisting of 3 bedrooms and a living room, 19 aparthotels consisting of 2 bedrooms and a living room, 20 aparthotels comprising a bedroom and living room and 82 bedroom aparthotels. They have terraces and balconies offering views of the outdoor areas and have all the necessary equipment for a family stay.
A “Narjisse Agadir” sports club adjoins the aparthotels and includes different areas: an outdoor swimming pool and another indoor, 5 rooms for sports activities equipped with the latest equipment, a mini-football field, 2 saunas, a restaurant, a Kids Club with a paddling pool, and 3 multipurpose rooms for the organization of family ceremonies and professional events.
A budget of 200 million DH has been released for the realization of Zephyr and Narjiss Agadir. They will be managed by the company Zephyr Développement, created by the Foundation in 2018, to provide professional hotel and tourist service, in accordance with the highest quality standards.
Zephyr Agadir will open its doors on July 26 to exclusively accommodate the teaching family during all school vacation periods. L
Note that the sports club “Narjiss Agadir” will open its doors next September with the start of the school year and university.
