Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Monday that Russian strikes on kyiv and other cities in Ukraine on Monday morning “will not break” Ukrainians.
“The enemy can attack our cities, but they will not be able to break us,” he said on social networks following several attacks on the capital by suicide drones.
For his part, the mayor of kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, said that two people “were still under the rubble” of the residential building affected in an area near downtown kyiv.
It should be noted that the Ukrainian capital was hit four times on Monday morning during attacks by Iranian drones which damaged a residential building and targeted the railway station, local officials said.
“At 9 a.m. (0600 GMT), four strikes were recorded in kyiv. A residential building in the Shevchenko district was hit. We are in the process of clarifying the information concerning the victims, ”said military officials in the capital.
The management of the national railway services had previously confirmed that attacks had taken place “near” the central station.
