Moroccan rider Jad Guerraoui won the individual silver medal at the World Equestrian Games in Aachen, Germany, with a double clear round in the individual event.
Guerraoui brilliantly distinguished himself against 30 young riders, all aged between 15 and 18, who rode horses made available for the competition drawn by lot, said a press release from the Royal Moroccan Federation of Equestrian Sports on Sunday ( FRMSE).
The young rider also won, last Thursday, the team bronze medal for Africa, with the riders of South Africa, Egypt, Tunisia and Zimbabwe, specifies the FRMSE.
At only 15 years old, the rider achieved an exceptional performance accompanied by assistant trainer Thierry Klein, at the Youth Equestrian Games. Multiple medalist in show jumping and dressage at the Moroccan Championships, Jad Guerraoui has been riding since he was 7 years old.
The FEI Youth Equestrian Games were held exceptionally this year, replacing the Youth Olympic Games originally scheduled for 2022 and postponed to 2026. This unprecedented event was held alongside the legendary CHIO in Aachen from June 23 to July 3.
