Youssef El Arabi struck again. The Moroccan international offered his team, Olympiakos, victory against Atromitos (3-0), during Wednesday’s meeting in the Greek Super League.
Youssef El Arabi slammed a hat-trick that allowed Olympiakos to win all three points on their trip to the league at Stadio Peristeriou.
The Moroccan striker opened the scoring for the visitors with a magnificent panenka from the penalty spot in the 36th minute and then scored a brace in the 50th minute. Barely 12 minutes later, the Atlas Lion concluded the victory of Olympiakos with another achievement on penalty.
Thanks to the Moroccan’s XXL performance, the Greek club remain undefeated after 14 games and keep their leading position with 38 points after 14 games, which puts them 11 points ahead of second-placed AEK Athens.
After this fine performance, El Arabi is now the second highest scorer in the Super League with eight goals after 12 matches, one behind Carlitos Lopez.
His form as a goalscorer could well attract the attention of Vahid Halilhodzic for the next 2021 Africa Cup of Nations which will take place in January in Cameroon. The former Al-Duhail has been absent from the national manager’s roster in all of the 2022 World Cup qualifying matches.
The next stop for El Arabi with Olympiacos will be a league game against Lamia at home on Sunday.
