Yassine Bono among candidates to replace injured Courtois at Real Madrid

Moroccan goalkeeper Yassine Bono is among the candidates to replace Real Madrid’s Thibaut Courtois, who has been ruled out for several months with a knee ligament injury.

The Belgian international sustained the injury during training and will undergo surgery in the coming days. He is expected to be sidelined for between six and eight months.

Bono seems like a good choice for Real Madrid, after his impressive form this season with his team Sevilla and the Moroccan national team. He is also familiar with La Liga, having played for Girona and Getafe in the past.

Other goalkeepers are reportedly on Real Madrid’s radar too, include Spanish duo Kepa Arrizabalaga and David de Gea, Georgian Giorgi Mamardashvili, and Croatian Dominik Livaković, according to Marca.

Real Madrid will need to act quickly to find a replacement for Courtois, as the transfer window closes on August 31.
