Wydad lose to Ahly in the first leg of the CAF Champions League final

Wydad Casablanca lost 2 goals to 1 against Egyptian club Al Ahly on Sunday at Cairo International Stadium for the first leg of the CAF Champions League final.

It was the Egyptian club that opened the scoring while dominating the first part of the game on a goal from Percy Tau scored in the 45′ +4th minute.

The Egyptians then took the advantage in the second half, strengthening their gap with the registration of a second goal signed Kahraba in the 59th minute.

The Wydadis were finally able to score a goal to close the gap with their opponent in the 86th minute of play.

Despite the defeat, the Casablancais still have a chance of winning the final in the return match, scheduled for Sunday June 11 at Complexe Mohammed V.

If Wydad wins the match, which promises to be difficult, they will win a fourth title and the second in a row.
