Wydad Casablanca qualified for the semi-finals of the Football Throne Cup (2021-2022 season), winning against Difaâ El Jadida 2-1 on Wednesday at the El Abdi stadium.
The visitors opened the scoring through Amine Farhane (37th), before Hamza Darai equalized for the Doukkala Knights in the 60th minute. Ayman El Hassouni gave the lead to the Reds in the 74th minute from the penalty spot.
The Jdidis were reduced to ten after the expulsion of Amale Mukoko (90′ +5).
For a place in the final, Wydad Casablanca will cross swords with Raja who defeated Chabab Mohammedia (2-1).
The other semi-final will pit Renaissance de Berkane (defending champion) against FUS Rabat.
The Oranges punched their ticket, by winning against Chabab Houara (amateur division) by 2 goals to 1 after extra time (regulation time 1-1), Sunday at the big stadium of Agadir.
FUS won its ticket to the last four by beating AS FAR on Saturday by 1 goal to 0.
