World Cup 2022: Amine Harit, who to replace him?

The national team faces a blow, one week from the 2022 World Cup which will start on Sunday, November 20 in Qatar. Walid Regragui will have to call on one of his reserves to compensate for the absence of Amine Harit who is suffering from a sprained cruciate ligament. Who are the potential replacements?

Olympique de Marseille have revealed the nature of Amine Harit’s injury, released on a stretcher during his team’s match against AS Monaco on Sunday. A big injury which should take more or less a month to heal, and which automatically puts an end to his dream of participating in the second consecutive world championship of his career.

Considered one of the most talented players on Walid Regragui’s list, the Phocaean will therefore have to give way to one of the reserves who will be chosen by the Moroccan technician.

In his expanded list, the former Wydad Casablanca coach checked off the names of Younès Belhanda, Soufiane Rahimi and Ryan Mmae, who had recently expressed his anger at not being selected by unsubscribing on the social networks of the page of the national team and all the Atlas Lions.

A reaction that could well play against him and increase the chances of the other two attackers, namely Younès Belhanda and Soufiane Rahimi who shine with their respective clubs, Adana Demirspor and Al-Ain.

Another name mentioned by the international press, that of Brahim Diaz, AC Milan player who has still not made a choice concerning his sporting nationality, torn between Morocco and Spain.

The 24-year-old could be Walid Regragui’s big surprise, while fans are calling for the return of Ryan Mmae whose absence has been widely commented on social media.
