The African Cup of Nations (CAN) women’s football (Morocco-2022), continued this Sunday, July 3 with three matches on the program, one in group A and two in group B.
In pool A, which also includes the Lionesses of the Atlas, Senegal took the best of Uganda by 2 goals to 0 (half-time 1-0), on the lawn of the Prince Moulay Abdellah sports complex in Rabat.
The Senegalese goals were scored by Ndeye Diakhate (39′, sp) and Nguenar Ndiaye (50′).
After this victory, Senegal occupies the first place of this group with 3 points next to Morocco, winner the day before of Burkina Faso (1-0).
The Moroccan national team will meet Uganda next Tuesday before taking on Senegal three days later.
In group B, the Cameroon team and its Zambian counterpart faced each other at the Mohammed V sports complex in Casablanca, and ended in a draw (0-0).
At the end of this meeting, Cameroon and their opponent of the day, Zambia, have one point each.
On behalf of the same group, Tunisia faces Togo on the lawn of the Mohammed V Sports Complex in Casablanca.
