WhatsApp announced on Tuesday the incorporation of three new updates, two of them are available for the mobile application, while the third is part of the web version.
The recent WhatsApp crash affected users around the world. This event dealt a serious blow to the popularity and marketability of the app. However, in an effort to avoid migrating users to other platforms, the app has released new features that update users’ messaging experience.
WhatsApp’s three new web features include the ability to edit photos, preview links, and sticker suggestions. Announced by WhatsApp via Twitter, the company says these changes to its web client are being rolled out to change the way users interact with each other on the platform.
With the new photo editing features, users will be able to add stickers / text to their images while cropping and rotating photos to their liking – on any screen size.

“In addition to adding more image editing features, WhatsApp Web now offers built-in sticker suggestions (similar to emoji suggestions). If your preferred language of WhatsApp communication is stickers, you will appreciate the functionality. “It’s like the emoji suggestions but better”, announced WhatsApp.
As a reminder, this fall, WhatsApp decided to put aside new devices, considered obsolete. Since November 1, some iPhones and Android devices will therefore no longer be able to correctly access the famous application.
These are smartphones that are more than five years old, and therefore use old updates for their operating system. More specifically, this concerns versions prior to Android 4.1 and iOS 10 which will no longer be able to access WhatsApp updates.
Concretely, the messaging application will not disappear completely from your phone if the application is already installed there, but some features will stop working correctly over time.
