Bad day for Chelsea and Hakim Ziyech. Established for the match against West Brom, the Moroccan international only enjoyed about thirty minutes on the field before being replaced. A decision which has been strongly criticized by Internet users and which comes before the heavy defeat of the Blues against West Brom (2-5).
Hakim Ziyech started as a starter in Chelsea’s opener after the international break. In good shape since his return from Morocco, the Atlas Lion has only had half an hour in the field.
After the red card for Thiago Silva, Ziyech was sacrificed, to make way for Andreas Christensen. A decision that raised many questions among Blues supporters, relaunching the rumor of a desire of the German technician to separate from the former star of Ajax Amsterdam who recently shone in the Champions League and the FA Cup, with two goals respectively.
Very big mistake on his part indeed. And in the end, maybe it’s a very good thing for Ziyech what happened …

Ziyech comes out and Chelsea lose 5-2 coincidentally? 🤔 pic.twitter.com/QqXPna3K0D

Hopefully this match is a lesson for tuchel and that he respects a little more ziyech than in front of the journalists to appear cool

The substitution took place with an intermediate score of 1-0, because Christian Pulisic had kicked the ball (one minute before the red card for Thiago Silva) on the rebound.
After that red card, however, things turned completely wrong for the home team in added time for the first half.
Firstly, Matheus Pereira shot the ball beautifully at Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy after a far kick from West Brom goalkeeper Sam Jonhstone, shortly thereafter the striker also shot in the 1-2 after cheating on the London defense.
Goals in the 47th and 49th minutes of the first half against Chelsea were painful, but they worsened after the break, finishing 2-5.
The defeat means the first in fifteen games for Chelsea, and therefore also the first since Tuchel took over from Frank Lampard at the end of January.
