The Minister of National Education, Preschool and Sports, Chakib Benmoussa, reported on Thursday the implementation of several measures and the mobilization of the resources necessary to guarantee the smooth running of the June session of the exams. of the Baccalaureate 2023.
In a presentation to the Government Council on the data and novelties of the baccalaureate exams (June-2023 session), Benmoussa indicated that 1,753 exam centers totaling 24,600 rooms have been set up at the level of all the Regional Academies of Education and Training (AREF) to make this operation a success, in addition to the mobilization of the necessary human resources, indicated the Minister Delegate in charge of Relations with Parliament, government spokesperson, Mustapha Baitas, during a press point at the end of the Council.
The minister noted that the number of candidates enrolled in school to take the Baccalaureate exams for this year amounts to 426,000, an increase of 62,530 candidates, an increase of 18% compared to the June 2022 session, noting that 10% of schooled candidates come from private education and the number of independent candidates is 132,000.
He also noted in this regard that the novelties decided this year concern the strengthening of the security of the Baccalaureate diploma and transcripts through the production of secure diplomas and the establishment of a first bouquet of digital services of support for the secure use of diplomas, specifying that this is part of the continued integration of new technologies in educational management, in particular in the field of exam evaluation.
This approach, which is also part of the digital transformation, will simplify procedures in this area, produce diplomas with interactive digital characteristics and immediately verify their authenticity, he added.
As part of the support for candidates in their preparations for the Baccalaureate exams, guidance documents have been sent by email to candidates, in addition to the reinforcement of the pedagogical support sessions and the adaptation of the tests and the conditions of the conduct of the examinations for the benefit of candidates with specific needs, assured the minister.
