CIM is the largest global network of music organizations and institutions founded by UNESCO in 1949 as an advisory body and dedicated to advancing essential music rights for all. It champions a world where everyone can have access to music, where everyone can learn, experience, create, perform and express themselves through music, and where artists of all kinds are recognized and fairly compensated.
CIM brings together people, ideas and actions under the umbrella of the Five Music Rights. It raises awareness and encourages its members and other cultural actors through advocacy actions in favor of the Five Music Rights in society and with decision-makers in the fields of arts education, politics and industry.
