The reigning double world champion Max Verstappen (Red Bull) ended a season of domination with a new victory, Sunday in Abu Dhabi, ahead of Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) who saves the honorary title of vice-world champion of Formula 1.

It was the 199th and very last Grand Prix of the quadruple German champion (2010-2013) Sebastian Vettel, who is bowing out after a 10th place on Sunday and 12th in the world.
Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) had to abandon this last Grand Prix due to a mechanical problem. For the first time in his career, he finished a year without a win or pole position, and outside the world top 5 (6th).
Red Bull ends an extraordinary year with a victory for its champion, the 15th this season, but with a small strategic error for Pérez, who failed to offer the team the first double in the drivers’ world championship in its history.
