US President Joe Biden has tested positive for Covid-19 again, the White House announced on Saturday.
A statement from White House doctor Kevin O’Connor said the chief executive of the United States is feeling “very well and has no symptoms of illness”.
This positive test “is in a way a rebound of positivity that some Covid patients may experience”, said the doctor.
Biden first tested positive for coronavirus nine days ago, with mild symptoms, will have to return to solitary confinement.
On Twitter, the US president said: “I have no symptoms but I will isolate myself for the safety of everyone around me”.
“I am still at work and will resume soon,” he added.
Folks, today I tested positive for COVID again.
This happens with a small minority of folks.
I’ve got no symptoms but I am going to isolate for the safety of everyone around me.
I’m still at work, and will be back on the road soon.
