Israel’s Foreign Minister Yair Lapid is expected in Morocco in the coming weeks, as part of an official visit.
Yair Lapid announced Monday that he would visit Morocco soon, a first since the normalization of relations between the two countries.
“I agreed with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Morocco, Nasser Bourita, on the first official visit of an Israeli Minister of Foreign Affairs to Morocco” since standardization, Yaïr Lapid said on his Twitter account. “The visit will take place after the opening of the direct airline to Morocco at the end of this month”, he added
According to the Israeli press, the visit is scheduled to take place between August 10 and 11. A meeting between the two ministers who “Will mark the starting point of the tourism, trade, economic and political cooperation agreements between the two countries. After my visit to Morocco, Minister Bourita will visit Israel for the opening of a liaison office here ”, explains Lapid.
Still according to the same source, Yaïr Lapid’s visit to Morocco should take place as part of the inauguration of an official Israeli embassy in Rabat.
