UM6SS and ABA Technology sign a partnership agreement to make Morocco a research and development hub

The Innovation Center of the Mohammed VI University of Health Sciences has signed a partnership agreement with ABA Technology, a technological and industrial group specializing in IoT and electronics.

In a press release, UM6SS specifies that this alliance, which it qualifies as “strategic”, aims to contribute to making Morocco a leading research and development hub in the health-tech field.

This partnership, concluded at the beginning of the week, organizes the axes of collaboration between UM6SS and ABA TECHNOLOGY through its subsidiaries MEDIOT, DEVCORP, ABATRYON, and MIOT, actors in the fields of health-tech, biotechnology, education and digital, through four conventions.

The first agreement concerns the “Health Digital Factory”, which consists of the creation of the first Health Digital Factory in Morocco in order to offer new innovative solutions and digital applications in the e-health industry.

The second agreement consists of the industrialization of medical devices through the industrialization and development of new Health-Tech products and connected medical devices Made in Morocco, the approval of Telemedicine products and solutions as well as the integration of Smart products. Hospital.

But not only ! The third agreement relates to a BIOTECH 4.0 platform, which consists of the creation and implementation of a Biotech 4.0 Platform allowing to accelerate innovations in Biotechnologies, R&D activities and the quality control process of industrialists, as well as the development a specialized training offer in Biotechnology.

And finally, the last and 4th convention concerns the creation and development of new businesses in the health sector as well as the creation of a think-act to rethink the economic models of industrial and technological ecosystems in the health sector for smart care, through the use of electronics, connected objects and digital technology.

Thus, these agreements are part of the partnership between UM6SS and ABA TECHNOLOGY for the promotion of innovation and the acceleration of startups in the health field, the University said.

Its main axes relate to research and development in health, innovation, mentoring, training and call for projects, indicates the same source, stressing that the Executive Program Entrepreneurship & Innovation in Health-Tech developed jointly by the ‘UM6SS and ABA Technology, is currently launched.
