Two people were arrested on Friday by elements of the police at Mohammed V international airport in Casablanca, for using a falsified exceptional travel authorization and a false Covid-19 test (PCR).
A press release from the Directorate General of National Security (DGSN), indicates that the suspects, including a 16-year-old minor, had presented during border control procedures a false Covid test and a falsified exceptional travel authorization, while they were preparing to leave the national territory on board a flight to Turkey.
The investigations carried out have confirmed that the documents presented are falsified, specifies the DGSN.
The defendants were subjected to a judicial investigation carried out by the judicial police brigade of Mohammed V international airport, under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, in order to elucidate the circumstances of the commission of these criminal acts, of identify and question all the people involved.
This operation is part of the mobilization of the national security services in order to firmly fight against the falsification of the results of Covid-19 tests and vaccination passes in order to ensure the health security of all citizens and to support the efforts of public authorities in this area.
