The Minister of Health and Social Protection, Khalid Aït Taleb, chaired, on Wednesday in Rabat, the signing ceremony of two partnership agreements with Pfizer Morocco Laboratories, in the presence of the representative of these laboratories at the level of the Morocco region. The signing of these agreements is part of the support for the implementation of the universal health coverage project, launched by King Mohammed VI, and the fight against antimicrobial resistance, which today constitutes a real public health issue and a growing threat to human health worldwide, said the Ministry of Health and Social Protection in a statement.
The first agreement aims to define the conditions and terms of the partnership between the Ministry and these Laboratories with regard to the contribution of the latter to the realization of the universal health coverage project through the improvement of the course of care and support. patients, as well as strengthening health ecosystems and supporting access to innovative medicines.
As for the second agreement, it is based on the axes of the National Strategic Plan for the Prevention and Control of Antimicrobial Resistance 2019-2022, which is part of the Health Plan 2025.
It aims to define the scope of contribution of these laboratories to support the capacities of the microbiological analysis laboratories of Moroccan hospitals and to support the skills of health professionals through continuing education sessions in the medical and biological fields, in addition to the development of scientific research and the awareness of the general public and health professionals to antimicrobial resistance, the statement said.
These agreements, which are part of the partnership between the public and private sectors, relate to the contribution of Pfizer Morocco Laboratories to the implementation of the universal health coverage project and the preservation of the health of Moroccan citizens.
