Two Moroccan books in the running for the Sheikh Zayed Book Prize

The Sheikh Zayed Book Prize, which is in its 15th edition, unveiled on Sunday the Short List of nominated titles in the “Arts and Critical Studies” category which includes three titles, two of which are Moroccan.

In the “Development and State Building” category, three books are in the running, namely “Diving with Seven Livelihoods” by the Emirati writer Ahmed Mohammed Bin Thani, “Transition to democracy: what advantages do the Arabs derive from? experiences of others? “By Egyptian researcher Ali El-Dine Hilal and” The legacy of arrogance between folklore and the religious sphere “by Egyptian scholar Said Al-Masry.

The Prize includes nine categories: “Literature”, “Translation”, “Arts and Critical Studies”, “Development and State Building”, “Literature for Children and Youth”, “Arab Culture in Other Languages”, ” Young Author ”,“ Publishing and Cultural Technologies ”and“ Cultural Personality of the Year ”.

In the “Cultural Personality of the Year” category, the winner receives a prize of $ 270,000, while in the other categories, the prize rises to nearly $ 204,000.
