The Water Department, under the Ministry of Equipment and Water, said Monday that the filling rate of large dams located in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region reached 52.38%.
A report from this department thus notes that the reservoirs of these dams, whose capacity exceeds 1.721 billion m3, have so far stood at 902 million m3, against 804.3 million m3 during the same period of the year. he previous year, not to mention the dam dam Dar Khrofa, which was recently refilled.
In the Loukkos area, the reservoirs of the Oued El Makhazine dam (Larache province), the largest dam in the region, reached 454 million m3, i.e. a filling rate of around 67.5%, against 586 million m3 during the same period a year earlier, ie a filling rate of 87.1%, while the reservoirs of the Dar Khrofa dam stood at 193.6 million m3 (40.3%).
As for the reservoirs of the April 9 dam (Tangier-Assilah prefecture), they amounted to 52 million m3, i.e. a filling rate of 17.3%, while this rate reached, at the level of the Ibn dam. Battouta, 31.9% (9.3 million m3).
The water department also notes the filling rate of the Moulay El Hassan Ben El Mahdi dam, located in the province of Fahs-Anjra, it stood at 72.9% (17.1 million m3). while the Tangier Mediterranean dam in the province of Fahs-Anjra reached a filling rate of 79.4% (17.5 million m3), while this rate reached 62.4% for the Abdelkrim Al Khattabi dam, located in the province of Al Hoceima (7.4 million m3).
In the province of Tetouan, the Nakhla dam reached a filling rate of 63.9% (2.69 million m3), while the Acharif Al Idrissi and Smir dams recorded respective filling rates of 85%. (103.41 million m3), and 84.7% (33 million m3).
The Jomoua dam (Al Hoceima province), for its part, displays a filling rate established at 14.6% (0.8 million m3), while the reservoirs of the Chefchaouen dam reached 11 million m3 (89.8 %).
