The SDL Casablanca Baia, in collaboration with the Municipality of Casablanca and the Regional Academy of Education and Training of the Casablanca-Settat Region, organizes the final of the inter-school competition ” Green schools on June 9. This event will be held at the Hay Hassani cultural complex in Casablanca.
In a joint press release, the Municipality of Casablanca and Casa Baia underlined that this competition brought together the 32 public primary schools that participated in the first edition of the program “ Green Schools“.
Launched at the beginning of last April, the program began with a preparatory phase where participating schools were challenged to form a group of 10 students and 2 supervisors, and to prepare a project related to one of the themes. following: the types of waste, the cleanliness professions, sorting and recycling.
At the end of this phase, a jury evaluated the work carried out and selected 16 schools, one per district, which competed in different stages until reaching the final. This will be organized during an official ceremony on June 9, 2023. The program for the final will include the broadcast of videos highlighting the highlights of the competition and educational capsules produced as part of the program. There will also be a Fast Quiz test, a sorting game, all complemented by musical breaks, underlines the same source.
To close the program, the two partners indicate that a trophy, medals and prizes will be awarded to the representatives of the finalist schools in recognition of their participation and their commitment to the cleanliness of their city. The winning school will also benefit from audiovisual and educational equipment necessary for the creation of an environment club, provided by the Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development on the occasion of International Environment Day.
