Tibu Africa-Technopark (MITC), have sealed a partnership for the promotion of sport in business. In this sense, an agreement was signed by Lamiae Benmakhlouf, CEO of Technopark (MITC), and Mohamed Amine Zariat, Ashoka Fellow & President of the NGO Tibu Africa, for the development of 3 solidarity Gyms within the Technoparks in Casablanca. , Agadir and Tangier.
In the business world, performance is paramount. It must be constantly stimulated with innovative tools. Physical and sporting activity in the workplace is a component that remains essential within the firm. In order to materialize the famous maxim “A healthy mind in a healthy body” and concerned about their profitability, companies are turning to sport as a lever that helps maintain the well-being and motivation of employees.
It is a shared awareness between Tibu Africa and Technopark (MITC) who are announcing a broad partnership around the promotion of physical and sporting activity within companies residing in Morocco’s Technoparks, and many other avenues promoting a real sports dynamic around the themes of education, socio-economic inclusion and entrepreneurship of young people and women through sport.
The sports spaces, object of the partnership, will be open to all employees of companies that are supported by the Technopark, and run by trained sports coaches and winners of Tibu Africa’s socio-economic inclusion programs such as the Intilaqa Initiative and the 2nd chance school oriented towards sports careers.
According to Lamiae Benmakhlouf, “the Technopark has been supporting project leaders for 20 years to realize and concretize their innovative ideas. Our support includes several elements necessary for the success of a business, such as training, networking, access to financing, access to resources and new technologies! »
Nevertheless, she said, “we pay special attention to these young people as individuals. We are fully aware that each of them invests their whole being in the work! We therefore wish to provide them, beyond professional support, with mental and social support. Thanks to our partnership with Tibu Africa, employees and managers of the various Technopark sites will be able to improve their physical and mental health, as well as strengthen their social ties through sport! »
For his part, Mohamed Amine Zariat, said he was “very delighted with this partnership with a strong social impact because it makes it possible to create professional integration opportunities for young people in NEET situations and enroll thousands of employees and startuppers to promote a healthy and active lifestyle thanks to the solidarity gyms developed by Tibu Africa in partnership with the Technopark”.
Tibu Africa and Technopark (MITC) will also explore several avenues of cooperation on topics related to youth entrepreneurship through training offered by Technopark (MITC) specialists to Tibu Africa’s program incubators.
The practice of physical and sporting activities in the workplace improves mental health and social integration of employees. The result would be a significant reduction in absences and work accidents as well as improved performance through improved attraction, engagement and employee mobilization.
