Three people, including a teenager, were killed in three shootings, which occurred in the early hours of Monday, on funds of drug trafficking, report the media of the hexagon.
These shootings also injured eight people, including two who were between life and death, said the Bouches-du-Rhône police headquarters.
Four people were arrested in connection with one of these shootings, according to a source close to the investigation, quoted by the press.
The first shooting took place shortly after midnight near the city of Castellas, in the 15th arrondissement, followed by another on the other side of the A7 motorway near Aygalades, where the police identified the first two dead, aged aged 23 and 29 and six injured, one of them in serious condition.
Shortly before 1:00 a.m., a third shooting erupted near the city center and the port district of La Joliette, where a 16-year-old boy who was killed and another, aged 15, was injured and his life-threatening is engaged, according to these same sources.
Several shootings have taken place in Marseille since the beginning of the year, marked by a notorious acceleration in March, after an already very dark year 2022 with 32 victims of homicides in organized gangs in the area of jurisdiction of the Marseille judicial court, according to the figures of the prosecution.
The violence was particularly concentrated around the city of La Paternelle, at the heart of the turf wars between rival gangs in the city for points of sale of cannabis and cocaine which can bring in up to 80,000 euros a day, according to the investigators.
