Ejected by the Blues at the start of the season, the German technician, Thomas Tuchel, could very well bounce back in the Bundesliga. According to the local press, Bayern Munich intends to separate from its coach Julian Nagelsmann, who would be replaced by Tuchel, winner of the Champions League in 2021 with Chelsea.
Two and a half weeks before their quarter-final first leg of the Champions League at Manchester City, the Bavarian club would therefore have decided to thank their coach, and would have come into contact with the 49-year-old German technician.
As a reminder, just before the international break, Bayern lost first place in the German championship standings to Borussia Dortmund, after their defeat on the lawn of Bayer Leverkusen (2-1), a setback which had caused the ire of Bayern management, sporting director Hasan Salihamdzic regretting a lack of mentality and voluntarism as he had rarely experienced.
Already under pressure at the end of the 2021/22 season after an elimination by Villarreal in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, and only the title of champion, Nagelsmann realizes with Bayern the club’s worst season for 11 years, with only 52 points after 25 days.
After the international break, Bayern will receive Dortmund on April 1 at the Allianz Arena, for a decisive Bundesliga Klassiker this season for the awarding of the title.
In the quarter-finals of the C1, the Munich residents move on April 11 to the Etihad Stadium in Manchester City, before receiving the Citizens of Pep Guardiola eight days later.
