Central defender Thiago Silva, under contract with ChelseaTo until summer 2023, extended for an additional year, i.e. June 2024.
“I am sincerely very happy to continue my career with the Blues”, reacted the 38-year-old Brazilian, who arrived at Chelsea in 2020 from Paris.
And to add: “When I signed my first contract here it was only supposed to be for one year. However, I am in the fourth year (…) I could never have imagined it, but it is really a great moment for me to extend at Chelsea”.
Trained at Fluminense in Brazil, Thiago Silva was, among other things, Italian champion in 2011 with AC Milan, then seven times French champion with Paris Saint-Germain, and won the 2021 Champions League with Chelsea.
