The Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdellah University (USMBA) of Fez occupies the first place nationally, according to the latest ranking of young universities (under fifty years of age) of the “Times Higher Education University Ranking”.
The USMBA is followed by the Hassan II University of Casablanca, the Ibn Tofeil University of Kénitra and Cadi Ayyad of Marrakech.
The ranking of the best universities was based on five major indicators, namely training, research, citations, international visibility and knowledge transfer. In this ranking, which brings together 475 universities, the University of Fez appears in the 201-250 category, a prestigious ranking which once again illustrates, according to the USMBA, “its scientific and academic leadership”.
The USMBA thus posted ” good progress ” and obtained a score of 59 for the citations indicator, which fell from 53.2 in 2020 to 59 in 2021. It also recorded a score of 33, 5 for the knowledge transfer indicator and 32.1 for the training indicator.
These results bear witness to the consolidation and scientific and academic influence of the USMBA, underlines the university.
Founded in 1975, the USMBA has twelve higher education establishments and an innovation city, divided into four university sites: Agdal-Fès, Saïs-Fès, Bensouda-Fès and Taza campuses. A fifth campus in Taounate is being created.
