The first days on research in public health and health management land in Morocco on June 24 and 25.

These First Days on Research in Public Health and Health Management are part of a national context marked by the overhaul of our health system and in which research is called upon to play an important role in the choice of decisions based on the evidence, the production of new knowledge, the evaluation of effective interventions, said the UM6SS in a press release.

The main objective of the days, according to the same source, is to highlight the need and the relevance of the use of research for decision-making.

To this end, the UM6SS with its partners and the support of the WHO, indicates that it has set up a knowledge center made up of university professors, which aims to encourage research based on evidence and on priority questions for the health system and translate them into Policy Briefs in order to create a bridge between university researchers and health decision-makers and managers.

Three training workshops are planned for this event, says the UM6SS. These are workshops on the methodology of researching evidence on health priorities, scientific writing and the writing of Policy Briefs.

Some 70 research articles from different universities have also been submitted and will be presented in oral communications and displays, discussed and evaluated by senior researchers from a high-level scientific committee, specifies the same source.

In detail, the UM6SS explains that the 70 articles offered are divided into 3 areas, namely public health and health programs, hospital management and management of health resources and medicine-biology.

Note that the event is organized by the International School of Public Health of the Mohamed VI University of Health Sciences in Casablanca (UM6SS) in collaboration with its partners, namely the World Health Organization (WHO), the Ben MSIK Faculty of Sciences of Hassan II University, the National School of Public Health, the Higher Institute of Health Sciences as well as researchers from the faculties of medicine and pharmacy in Rabat, Tangier and other cities of the Kingdom.
