The regional tour of the FDR stops in Drâa Tafilelt

As part of the regional tours intended for the presentation of the 2023-2026 roadmap for tourism, the minister in charge, Fatim-Zahra Ammor, stopped over on Tuesday in Errachidia,

The Minister notably met the Wali of the Drâa Tafilalet region, Bouchaab Yahdih, the President of the Council of the Region, Hro Abrou, the President of the National Confederation of Tourism, Hamid Bentahar, the President of the Regional Council of Tourism of the region, Mohamed Takhchi, as well as the representatives of the professionals, the elected representatives of the region, the representatives of the territorial communities and the provinces and the professional chambers.

After presenting the main outlines of her roadmap while focusing on the tourism sectors and levers specific to the Drâa Tafilalet region, the Minister spoke of the important role that the region will play in the overall tourist offer, in view of its unique potential in terms of desert, oasis, nature and culture.

“In the tourism roadmap, we find Drâa Tafilalet in 4 tourist sectors, namely, +Desert & Oasis Adventure+, +Nature, Trekking & Hiking+, +Cultural Tours+ and finally the sector +Nature and discovery+, for national tourists which will obviously benefit from the three other sectors. The work with all the players will consist in the coming months of developing the prerequisites necessary for the promotion of this offer, in terms of infrastructure, accommodation, entertainment and services in order to create a unique tourist experience. , she recalled.

Given the urgency of the various projects, Fatim-Zahra Ammor made all the stakeholders aware of the importance of releasing synergies and working together to make a real quantitative and qualitative leap in the region.

An invitation welcomed with enthusiasm by all the active forces present, who confirmed their commitment to successfully deploying the roadmap in the region.

Also taking part in this meeting, Mohammed Msellek, Secretary General of the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts and Social and Solidarity Economy, Imad Barrakad, Director General of the Moroccan Society of Tourism Engineering (SMIT).
