The Political Bureau of the National Rally of Independents (RNI) party held a meeting on Monday evening chaired by Aziz Akhannouch, and devoted to examining various national political and organizational issues. The recent recognition by Israel of the Moroccanness of the Sahara was also on the agenda.
At the beginning of this work, the president of the Dove party first of all welcomed the commitment of all the parallel organizations of the RNI in a dynamic of evolution since its sixth national congress. He congratulated the various organizations for holding their congresses at the regional and national levels after the seventh national congress, as well as for their spontaneous and effective participation in the debates on the issues that arouse the interest of Moroccans. He also focused on the government’s progress report after 21 months in office, praising its exceptional performance and the cohesion of its components.
With regard to the Moroccanness of the Sahara, the members of the Political Bureau welcomed Israel’s recent position, through its Prime Minister, Benyamin Netanyahu, to inform King Mohammed VI of his country’s decision to recognize Morocco’s sovereignty over the territories of the Sahara.
” This position will be reflected in all official and governmental documents of Israel, and will be communicated to the United Nations and the various regional and international organizations, as well as to all countries having diplomatic relations with Israel,” recalls the RNI which considers that “This decision crowns a series of recognitions made by influential countries in recognition of the justice of the Moroccan cause and the efforts made by Morocco, under the direction of the King, for the development and prosperity of our southern provinces“.
Regarding government action, the Political Bureau welcomed the approach adopted by the Executive to deal with inflation, an approach that has succeeded in maintaining the macro-economic balance of the State despite a difficult international context.
At the end of its work, and in accordance with the provisions of the party statute, the political office validated the appointment of party coordinators in the provinces of Essaouira, Al Haouz and Moulay Yaâcoub.
