The Presidency of the Public Ministry will participate, for the second consecutive edition, in the 27th International Publishing and Book Fair (SIEL) which will be held from June 2 to 12 in Rabat.
Participation in this 27th edition, organized by the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, with an intense program under the sign: “a citizen public ministry”, specifies a press release from the presidency of the public ministry.
This program will be overseen by judges and executives of the Presidency of the Public Prosecutor’s Office through a dedicated stand for the occasion and in the other spaces of the Fair, the aim being to present the roles and missions of the Presidency in the field of Justice.
The public prosecutor’s office also emphasizes that in order to unify the action of all public prosecutor’s offices on a national scale, the Presidency of the public prosecutor’s office will, this year, present a detailed guide to its services, adopting simplified language in order to to ensure that citizens have a good understanding of these services and the related legal provisions.
The guide, it is underlined, includes two axes, the first presents the services offered at the level of the Presidency of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, while the second relates to the services of the various prosecution services in the courts of the Kingdom.
The stand will also exhibit more than 200 publications by magistrates and executives of the Presidency of the Public Prosecutor’s Office on various fields, in addition to 30 works from the study and documentation unit at the Presidency, according to the same source. In order to strengthen the access of people with specific needs to justice, the Presidency has prepared several leaflets for the presentation of its services, some of which are written in Braille, as well as a video on its activities in sign language.
This stand will also offer a space for debate for citizens, experts and researchers in the legal and judicial fields, around the priorities of criminal policy in the current context, preventive detention and the role of the public prosecutor in the protection of rights and freedoms. and the moralization of public life. The participation of the Presidency of the Public Prosecutor’s Office in this cultural event supports its communication strategy aimed at popularizing its services to citizens.
