The Oujda automotive wiring plant, part of the Aptiv equipment group and whose construction work was launched on Monday, will create 3,500 direct jobs for young people in the region, indicates a press release from the Council of the Oriental region (CRO).
This new industrial unit, whose work was kicked off by the president of the CRO, Abdenbi Bioui and the wali of the Oriental region, governor of the prefecture of Oujda-Angad, Mouad El Jamai, s will spread over an area of 8 ha and will require an overall investment of 394 million dirhams (MDH), specifies the CRO.
The launching ceremony of this project took place with the participation of the Director General of the Oriental Regional Investment Center (CRIO), the First Vice-President of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), the President of the Moroccan Association for the Automotive Industry and Construction (AMICA) and representatives of the companies MedZ, AtlantaSanad, ADEIS and Aptiv, in addition to the vice-presidents of the CRO and the members of the Board, elected officials and heads of decentralized services, adds the same source.
Quoted in the press release, Abdenbi Bioui stressed that this project will contribute to the creation of jobs for young people and new economic alternatives, knowing that this factory will generate 3,500 direct jobs for the inhabitants of the region.
This project is part of the realization of the achievements of the royal speech delivered by King Mohammed VI on March 18, 2003 in Oujda, with the aim of creating development projects and encouraging investment, he said. said.
In the same vein, Abdenbi Bioui hailed the important role played by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in supporting investment in the Oriental region, during a meeting held on this occasion. at the headquarters of the Oriental wilaya in Oujda, with the participation of the Minister of Industry and Trade, Ryad Mezzour by videoconference.
The president of the CRO also indicated that the announcement of the creation of important industrial poles in all the provinces of the region will be made in the coming days, reports the press release.
The document also recalls that the CRO recently proceeded, within the framework of the encouragement of investments, to the approval of several special specifications, with the aim of diversifying the forms of support, guaranteeing the quality and effectiveness of the supervision and support provided to the components of the entrepreneurial fabric and bring together the conditions conducive to the construction of a regional employment system.
