The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) and the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) sealed, Wednesday in Salé, a strategic partnership with the aim of promoting Morocco as a destination through football.

Thanks to the global impact created by the historic exploits of the Atlas Lions during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, the Morocco destination is expected to see an even greater influx.

It is in this perspective that the president of the FRMF, Fouzi Lekjaa, and the general manager of the ONMT, Adel El Fakir, signed this partnership aimed at integrating football into the next campaigns of the ONMT over the period 2023- 2030.

The Office also undertakes to support the FRMF for inclusive and concerted communication around sports tourism in Morocco, in addition to the integration of national teams in the various communication tools produced by the ONMT.

For its part, the FRMF undertakes to guarantee to the ONMT, in its capacity as official partner, the rights of visibility during football matches on the screens, panels, digital platforms of the FRMF, as well as its media. communication and any other device.

The FRMF should give additional visibility to the ONMT through the “Branding” of the training shirts and tracksuits of the National Selections as well as the additional devices at the edge of the field. For the President of the FRMF, “this strategic partnership capitalizes on Morocco’s achievements in the football field under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty the King. VS

This alliance with the ONMT thus supports the Federation’s strategy for the promotion of Moroccan football and provides it with the necessary expertise to conquer the world together through our noble missions”.

Thus through this strategic partnership, the FRMF and the ONMT intend to make football a lever for promoting tourism in Morocco, while strengthening the image of the Kingdom, “Morocco, land of Light” but also Morocco, “Land of football”. where major sporting events are organized such as the recent Club World Cup in Rabat and Tangier, the Women’s African Cup or other continental and planetary events. This partnership is also part of the dynamics of the tripartite candidacy of Morocco with Spain and Portugal for the organization of the 2030 Football World Cup.
