The new 100% electric quadricycle from Stellantis

The Stellantis factory in Kenitra recently launched production of a third all-electric quadricycle, this time for the Fiat brand, after the Citroën Ami and the Opel Rocks-e. Under the Topolino name, this new vehicle stands out from its ” cousins from the Stellantis group with its unique appearance and summer livery.

Almost three years ago, the Citroën Ami inaugurated this production line of electric quadricycles at the Stellantis factory in Kenitra, joined at the end of 2021 by the Opel Rocks-e. Today, a third model, the Fiat Topolino, has been added to this family. This new vehicle, unveiled by the Italian manufacturer on Wednesday, May 31, brings a mythical name back to life.

Unsurprisingly, the Topolino takes up the technical characteristics of its two “ cousins from the Stellantis group. It is a two-seater configuration, a light structure, a composite plastic body and a fully electric motorization. With an output of 6 kW (8.2 hp), it is powered by a 5.5 kWh battery offering a range of 70 km and a maximum speed of 45 km/h.

However, although it shares its cubic look and most of its components with models from Citroën and Opel, the Topolino stands out with a slightly personalized style. Its face, adorned with two round headlights, is reminiscent of that of the Fiat 500, while its body does without doors and has a roll-up canvas roof.

The Fiat Topolino will be officially presented on July 4, 2023 before being marketed in early 2024 in various European markets. Its integration into the production lines of the Stellantis factory in Kenitra will contribute to achieving the objective of producing 50,000 electric quadricycles per year set for the Moroccan site by 2030.
