The Morocco-Israel economic forum takes up residence in Tel Aviv

The Israel-Morocco Economic Forum in Tel Aviv kicked off on Tuesday, March 15, in the presence of more than 250 Moroccan and Israeli business leaders.

The General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), and its president Chakib Alj, dispatched a delegation of 80 businessmen and women to Israel, representing the various sectors of common interest, on the occasion of the inauguration of RAM’s direct airline linking Casablanca to Tel Aviv.

This is the first economic forum of its kind since the resumption of relations between Morocco and Israel. “This is fruitful cooperation for progress, prosperity and opportunity”underlined Chakib Alj.

“Following the signing of the Abraham Accords in December 2020, bilateral cooperation is experiencing remarkable developments in sectors of mutual interest such as: tourism, health, agriculture, water, industry, education and technology, with the ambition to increase the exchanges to 500 million dollars”added the boss of the CGEM.

“The evolution of the geostrategic landscape at the global level offers interesting prospects and opportunities for cooperation between Morocco and Israel, particularly in the context of a sharp increase in the cost of raw materials and freight, even more accentuated today by the situation in Eastern Europe»said Chakib Alj.
