The president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Patrice Motsepe said that the African Cup of Nations (CAN) for women, which is being held from July 2 to 23 in Morocco, is one of the best editions organized by the African body.

“We can only be proud of the excellent AFCON organized by the Kingdom of Morocco. This perfect and excellent organization of the women’s CAN demonstrates, if necessary, that in Morocco, and in Africa, we have the best football infrastructure in the world.”said Motsepe on his arrival, Sunday evening, at Rabat-Salé airport.

“I am very pleased to attend the semi-finals on Monday and the final on Saturday, in addition to the CAF Awards ceremony, scheduled for July 21 “, he added.

The Moroccan selection will face its Nigerian counterpart in the semi-finals of the CAN, this evening at the Prince Moulay Abdellah sports complex in Rabat (9:00 p.m.). The second semi-final will pit South Africa against Zambia.
