The Moroccan people join the Royal Family in celebrating, on Tuesday, in jubilation and communion, the 53rd birthday of Prince Moulay Rachid, a happy event which offers the opportunity to all Moroccans to express their warm congratulations and sincere wishes. of happiness and long life to King Mohammed VI, Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, Prince Moulay Rachid and the entire August Royal Family.

Born on June 20, 1970 in Rabat, Prince Moulay Rachid obtained, in May 1993, with honors “Very Good”, a license in Public Law (internal Administration option) and a diploma in Comparative Law at the Faculty of Legal, Economic and of Rabat. Three years later, in June 1996, he obtained, with honors “Very Good”, the second certificate of higher education (international relations option).

His Royal Highness publicly defended, on May 18, 2001 at the University Montesquieu-Bordeaux IV, a doctoral thesis in Law on “The Organization of the Islamic Conference: Study of a specific international organization”, obtained with mention “Very Honorable with the congratulations of the jury and special mention for its publication”, in view of the interest of the subject and the quality of the work.

From a young age, Prince Moulay Rachid has been interested in cultural, social and sporting activities. As such, His Royal Highness has presided, since 1997, over the destinies of the National Federation of Moroccan Scouting, to which he has breathed new life.

In the same spirit and with the same commitment, Prince Moulay Rachid chairs the Royal Moroccan Federation of Hunting Weapons, the Marrakech International Film Festival Foundation and the Hassan II Golf Trophy Association. . Since January 2018, His Royal Highness has also chaired the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation.

Similarly, Prince Moulay Rachid has engaged in various actions, taking part in various Royal activities and presiding over official activities, as well as large-scale events both in Morocco and abroad.

He also represents the King in important national and international events.

Prince Moulay Rachid thus represented King Mohammed VI at the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II on September 19, 2022, which took place at Westminster Abbey in London. He had taken part, the day before at Buckingham Palace in London, in a reception offered by King Charles III to high personalities who had come to attend the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.

On September 25, 2022, Prince Moulay Rachid chaired, at the Royal School of Cavalry in Temara, the King Mohammed VI Grand Prix of the three-star show jumping competition (3*).

On November 7, he represented the King at the work of the segment of Heads of State and Government of the 27th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 27), which took place at the seaside resort of Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt. On the evening of the same day, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid took part in a reception hosted by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sissi in honor of Heads of State and delegations taking part in the work of COP27.

During the same month, Prince Moulay Rachid, President of the Foundation of the International Film Festival of Marrakech, chaired in Marrakech, a dinner offered by King Mohammed VI on the occasion of the official opening of the 19th edition of the Festival.

On February 10, the Prince, President of the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation and of the Hassan II Golf Trophy Association, chaired, in Rabat, the gala dinner offered by His Majesty King Mohammed VI on the occasion of the 47th edition of the Hassan II Golf Trophy and the 26th edition of the Lalla Meryem Cup.

The following day, LL.AA.RR Prince Moulay Rachid and Princess Lalla Meryem chaired, at the Royal Golf Dar Es-Salam in Rabat, the award ceremony for the winners of the 47th edition of the Hassan II Trophy and the 26th edition of the Lalla Meryem Golf Cup.

On May 4, he chaired, at Mechouar Stinia “Sahrij Souani” in Meknes, a dinner offered by HM King Mohammed VI in honor of the guests and participants at the 15th edition of the International Agricultural Show in Morocco.

On the 19th of the same month, Prince Moulay Rachid represented the King at the work of the 32nd session of the Arab Summit which took place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The birthday of Prince Moulay Rachid is thus an opportunity for the Moroccan people to affirm their unwavering attachment to the Glorious Alaouite Throne and their permanent mobilization behind King Mohammed VI for the success of the major development projects launched by the Sovereign for the prosperity of His faithful people.
