The medical coverage and social protection project on track

The project of medical coverage and the reform of social protection, “moves on the right track, in accordance with the pre-established agendas”, affirmed the Minister Delegate in charge of the Budget, Fouzi Lekjaa.

Speaking at the end of the meeting of the Strategic Committee for Social Protection, chaired by the Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, the Minister explained that as scheduled, the years 2021 and 2022 were devoted to the inclusion of all citizens in the compulsory health insurance system (AMO).

It is in this context that since last September, the beneficiaries of the medical assistance scheme (RAMED) have been integrated into the AMO, he added.

And to note that the year 2023 will be devoted to the reform of assistance systems to integrate them into a unified system dedicated to supporting family compensation, the year 2024 to the implementation and generalization of this system and 2025 to the reform of the job loss compensation system.

It should be noted that the meetings of the Social Protection Strategy Committee aim to determine the main measures that will be adopted to continue the implementation of the social protection project according to the planned schedule.

In addition to Akhannouch and Lekjaa, this meeting took place in the presence of the Minister of the Interior, Abdelouafi Laftit, the Secretary General of the Government, Mohamed Hajoui, as well as the Director General of the National Social Security Fund (CNSS), Hassan Boubrik .
