The Lions ready to do anything to satisfy the Moroccan public

Tomorrow, Wednesday November 23, the Atlas Lions enter the Qatar 2022 World Cup. They will be opposed to Croatia, vice-world champion 2018.

At a press conference on Tuesday, the national coach, Walid Regragui, promised that his men will give their best to please the Moroccans.

Wanting to be reassuring despite the difficulty of the match, Coach Regragui assured that the Atlas Lions are ready to make any sacrifices to make a good campaign and satisfy their public.

“We will play against the vice-world champions and we are ready to give the best of ourselves (…) We will not be an easy opponent against Croatia”he promised.

Keeping his feet on the ground, the national technician admitted that the meeting will not be easy: “The match will be difficult against the vice-world champion, who has world-class players. This match will be played on small details, but we are ready to do everything possible to please our supporters”.

The Coach, however, advised his players not to focus on Luka Modric. “Croatia have top players and a strong squad, but I only focus on the national team and if the players focus on Modric they will make the biggest mistake”he warned.

By way of conclusion, Walid Regragui had these words: “I trust the work we have done over the last ten days and we started to see the results in the last game against Georgia.”

The Atlas Lions will have to keep the same self-confidence, because after this decisive meeting against Croatia, they will be opposed to a no less difficult team, Belgium, on November 27, then Canada, on December 1.
