King Mohammed VI sent a message of compassion and condolences to the family members of the late Moulay Taher Asbahani.
In this message, the Sovereign affirms having learned with great emotion the news of the disappearance of the great late artist Moulay Taher Asbahani, founding member of the emblematic group Jil Jilala.
In this sad circumstance, the King expresses to the members of the family of the deceased and through them to his national artistic family, and to all his relatives, friends and admirers, His deep condolences and His best feelings of compassion for the loss of this great multi-talented artist, recognized for his contribution to the influence and uniqueness of the Jil Jilala group, whose musical style, themes and rhythms are drawn from authentic Moroccan cultural heritage.
The Sovereign says to remember, with esteem, the human qualities, the sincere patriotism and the unwavering attachment of the deceased to the constants and sacredness of the nation, as well as the commendable services he has rendered to his Fatherland and to his art, praying the Most High to grant patience and comfort to the members of his family and to surround the deceased with his holy mercy.
