As part of the support and socio-economic development actions of the Itzer region in the Middle Atlas, the ASSIJI (Association Initiatives des Jeunes d’Itzer) is launching the First Edition of the Itzer Dental Medical Caravan, in partnership with APEMD (Association Pulpe d’Espoir des Médecins Dentistes), on March 18, 2023.
This action, which will be deployed in primary schools in the region, will affect 750 pupils, enabling them to benefit from free consultations, dental care, advice on oral prevention and brushing kits.
The importance of raising awareness of oral health and hygiene from an early age and even more so in rural areas where access to care in general and dental care in particular is difficult, no longer needs to be demonstrated. .
This caravan therefore represents a great hope and a godsend for the young students of Itzer who will thus have at their disposal 35 volunteer dentists from the association who have agreed to lead this medical caravan in these harsh winter times when the temperatures in the region are very rough and the roads often difficult to access.
