The second edition of the IRONMAN 70.3 Tangier competition will be held on October 29. A total of 2000 international participants are expected.
Participants will begin their adventure by diving into the Bay of Tangier for a 1.9 km swim before continuing with a 90 km bike course, says a press release from the organizers.
“A 21.1 km running race will start at the Marina of Tangier and will take place along the corniche, bathing in the sweet scents of late summer before offering an exceptional finishline on the peninsula of Tanja Marina. Bay”, continues the same source.
“The 2,000 participants expected from all over the world will be eager to combine the triple effort by taking advantage of the region’s tourist wealth”, declared Amine Karhat, Communication Director of the event, quoted in the press release.
“Our team ensures that participants have the most incredible experience. And this, not only to the quality of the routes, but also to the unforgettable travel experience offered by the pearl of the North”, adds the press release.
Additional entertainment events will be organized around the main race, so as to include the guides in the event and involve the people of Tangier wishing to take part in this great celebration.
This competition should allow the city of Tangier to welcome around 10,000 tourists, the statement concludes.
