The International Festival “Morocco of Tales” has been included in the list of intangible heritage of the Islamic World Organization for Education, Science and Culture (ICESCO), it was announced during the opening ceremony. of the 20th edition of the festival.
Organized in partnership with the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication and the Wilaya of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, “Famous thanks to our mothers” is the theme of the 20th edition of the international festival “Morocco of tales” which will be held until June 25th.
On this occasion, ICESCO Director General, Salim bin Mohammed Al Malik, presented the registration certificate to Najima Ghazali Tay Tay, President of the Morocco Storytelling International Academy for Intangible Cultural Heritage, organizing member of the festival.

A total of 170 storytellers from different countries around the world are taking part in this edition to honor the art of storytelling. This International Festival has as guest of honor Mauritania, known for the richness of its mythical tales.
“Building bridges of communication between peoples and civilizations” is the objective of this event which, under the roof of culture, speech and memory, different ethnicities, nationalities and cultures, try to merge the cultures and languages in a place that embodies the intangible heritage of humanity.
