The National Initiative for Human Development (INDH) contributed to the construction of 978 preschool units in the Drâa-Tafilalet region during the period from 2019 to 2021, according to data from the Regional Human Development Coordination of the Wilaya of the region.
The same source indicated that the total number of municipalities having benefited from these preschool units stands at 109 in the Drâa-Tafilalet region.
In addition, the total number of preschool units carried out in the Drâa-Tafilalet region during the period from 2019 to 2021 amounts to 2,256.
The province of Errachidia saw the creation of 402 preschool units between 2019 and 2021, including 178 with a contribution from the INDH, still according to the Regional Coordination, which adds that these establishments were carried out in 22 territorial municipalities of this province. .
In Ouarzazate, 591 preschool units, including 163 with INDH participation, were built during the same period in 15 territorial communes of this province.
Similarly, some 576 preschool units, including 280 with the contribution of the Initiative, were set up from 2019 to 2021 in 25 territorial municipalities of the province of Tinghir.
In the province of Zagora, 22 territorial communes saw the construction of 407 preschool establishments, of which 240 were built thanks to the contribution of the INDH.
Some 280 preschool units were built during the 2019-2021 period in 25 territorial municipalities of the province of Midelt, while the number of establishments built with the contribution of the INDH is around 117.
The same source reports that the overall number of pre-school children in the Drâa-Tafilalet region stands at 42,295, including 22,109 boys and 20,285 girls.
By province, 11,056 of these children are pre-schooled in Zagora, 10,457 in Tinghir, 8,798 in Ouarzazate, 6,153 in Midelt and 5,831 in Errachidia.
