Likewise, he added, it will promote the establishment of strategies and programs relating to the agricultural sector, within the framework of the Green Morocco Plan and Green Generation 2020-2030.
It will also establish a database of farms, their owners and operators, he said.
For his part, the Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests, Mohamed Sadiki, indicated that thanks to this register, farmers will be able to access and benefit from various social benefits, including coverage and state aid.
During the press briefing at the end of the council, the government spokesperson, Mustapha Baitas explained that the text creating the register, includes 19 articles defining the objectives, provisions and modalities of implementation of the register.
He also specified that the text was drawn up taking into account the observations and recommendations of the various stakeholders, in particular the National Commission for the control of the protection of Personal Data (CNDP), in accordance with the provisions of Law 09-08.
The said law aims to ensure effective protection of individuals against abuse of data use likely to infringe their privacy and to harmonize the Moroccan system for the protection of personal data with those of its partners, particularly in Europe.
