Chairing the first meeting of the committee which will oversee the presentation of the Kingdom’s candidacy file to host the 2030 World Cup jointly with Spain and Portugal, with the various ministerial departments concerned, in order to examine the necessary arrangements for this purpose , Akhannouch noted that this common candidacy constitutes a new horizon of strategic partnership, enshrines a new generation of cooperation and partnerships and reflects the pooling of efforts and resources of the African and European continents.
