The Council of Government, meeting on Thursday, officially decided to set up a provisional commission in charge of managing the press and publishing sector, the mandate of the National Press Council (CNP) having expired.
The said commission will make it possible to replace the bodies of the CNP and set its mandate at two years from the date of appointment of its members, unless new members are elected during this period, under the terms of the text of the law proposed by the Minister. of Culture, Youth and Communication, and approved by the Government Council, and linked to events, said government spokesman Mustafa Baitas.
