The Council of Government, meeting Thursday by videoconference under the chairmanship of the Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, adopted draft decree No. 2.22.491 relating to the storage and manufacture of explosive products for civil use, fireworks and materials containing pyrotechnic substances, as well as guarding, safety and security devices for depots and factories.
Speaking at a press briefing after the weekly meeting of the Government Council, the Minister Delegate in charge of Relations with Parliament, government spokesperson, Mustapha Baitas, indicated that this draft decree has was presented by the Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, Leila Benali.
He specified that this text, which comes within the framework of the implementation of Law 22.16 (July 5, 2018), includes provisions setting out the procedures for granting authorizations to establish and operate deposits, transfer of a first category deposit and the cessation or resumption of its operation, as well as the procedures for declaring a cabinet or group of cabinets and the terms and conditions for the layout and operation of the depots and cabinets.
The provisions of this draft decree also lay down the procedures relating to authorizations for the establishment and operation of factories, the transfer and cessation of the activity of a factory at a standstill, as well as those defining the security arrangements. , safety and security.
