After announcing the reopening of its cinemas, the French Institute of Morocco (IFM) begins its screenings, starting with the film The Miracle of the Unknown Saint by director Alaeddine Aljem.
In a health context which continues to constrain all activities, especially cultural ones, life is gradually resuming and the IFM is resuming “face-to-face” with the reopening of media libraries, and in particular the launch of a new cinema program under the name “Plan large “.
The IFM will begin its screenings with the film Le Miracle du Saint Inconnu, in preview in Casablanca, on Thursday 23 September and in Rabat from Sunday 03 to Tuesday 05 October, with the presence of Alaeddine Aljem on Sunday and Anas El Baz for the three days.
This feature film tells the story of Amine who, in the middle of the desert, runs, her fortune in hand, the police on the trail, and buries her booty in a hastily made grave.
On his release from prison, the arid hill became a place of worship where pilgrims flock to worship the one who would be buried there: the Unknown Saint. Forced to settle in the village, Amine will have to deal with the inhabitants without losing sight of her primary mission: to recover her money.
As a reminder, the ambition of this program presented by the IFM is to bring audiences, especially young people, back to theaters. “Mediation activities, image education, the involvement of associations, cultural structures and schools will strengthen these aspects. In this period, it is also a question of recreating links, encouraging meetings and the debate of ideas ”, specifies the Institute in a press release.
