The film Le Bleu du Caftan by Maryam Touzani will be released in theaters in Morocco on June 7th. Sold in nearly 30 territories around the world, it has accumulated 240,000 admissions abroad to date.
Released in France on March 22, the film achieved a performance and already recorded more than 150,000 admissions, thus becoming the biggest success for a Moroccan film since Razzia by Nabil Ayouch, in 2018.
The film displayed stability over the weeks, driven by tremendous word-of-mouth from the public and by press reviews.
Le Bleu du Caftan is also a great success in many other countries, close to the top 10 when it was released in the Netherlands (40,000 admissions in three weeks), and in the top 15 in Spain (30,000 admissions in three weeks) , Greece or Belgium.
It began screening on May 5 in the UK and will be released in Morocco, Japan and Italy from June.
